Geneva Switzerland
Trip
At the beginning of May, I went to Geneva, Switzerland, with
Easyjet from Gatwick Airport and I stayed there with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins.
One the first day we went to an IKEA for lunch. I had meat balls and chips with peas. We also went to a shopping mall which has a
dentist practice upstairs where one of my cousins works as is a dentist. She showed us around.
On my second day we went to the Geneva Botanical Garden
which is free, it was beautiful to see all the flowers, trees, plants, herbs,
spices, fruits, vegetables from all over world. There were animals, birds and
fish there too!
On the third day I went in to Geneva city. I looked at the
old and new buildings; we drove past the United Nations Headquarters building. We went to the Swatch shop which had all their
watches on display! We went to a
Department store called Globus where we looked at the home ware things. We also
went to the Nespresso shop which sells coffee machines and coffee too, we also
had a taster! I tried a coffee which was a vanilla flavoured coffee. I saw the lake which is called Lac LĂ©man, its
waterfront is very pretty! I went to the old town. It was very nice and instructive
to see all the old buildings with beautiful balconies with flowers.
On the fourth day my family and I drove past near the French
border the CERN Sphere which houses the CERN Hadron collider (Higgs Boson). It
is really cool to see the building.
On my birthday I looked at my twitter and I found out that I
won Amelia Liana YouTube give away. I was so excited. My family and I went to
Montreux to visit the town and we stopped at the Grand Hotel for coffee, I had
a cafe latte. It was very
luxurious. We also walked to the Freddy
Mercury memorial, he was the lead singer of Queen!
On the sixth day we went to a Chinese restaurant for
lunch. I got ginger pork with rice and vegetables,
and after lunch we went to the Railway station/shopping centre where we were
given a free little bottle of water which they were promoting there!
