Tenerife Trip
Last week I went to the island of Tenerife which is part of
Spain for a week vacation. So last Wednesday I went to Gatwick airport at 5am
which is so early, I know! The flight took 4 hours and it’s a good thing I
downloaded some TV shows on my iPad for the flight the night before. I also downloaded
the app of stylist magazine to read!
I got to the H10 Las Palmeras hotel which was by the sea; I
went on the 7th floor for my room. All the lifts are so dangerous, I
saw several people gotten hurt by tripping over to get out! My dad and I
tripped over but didn’t get hurt. My room was ok but worn out a little. The crazy thing for dinner is we had to pay
for water to drink and it wasn’t sparkly water which I can understand you have
to pay for but normal water. The food
was nice to eat and the staff was all very friendly and took good care of the
customers. At night time it was awful, you can't get to sleep because there is
no double glazing on the widows, so you can hear the music from the bars! I did
have ear plugs with me so I was ok.
Every day I went walking and exploring up and down the coast
of the island which is so pretty with the trees and volcanic rock by the sea. I
did go shopping, I will do a haul next week! On Tuesday I went on a (Atlantico)
tour of the island by coach. Our tour guide (Martin) and driver (Jesus) were
awesome. Martin told us all about the
history of the island and some trivia about one of the fast and furious film’s
scene which was filmed on the local freeway! It was fast and furious 6. We went on top of
the Teide volcano and at the time it was snowing up there! We all went to the
Mirador Lomo Molino restaurant with a beautiful view for lunch which was very
tasty. I had the salad for my starter which
was very nice, then for my main course I had fish with potatoes and tomatoes in
a special sauce which is a speciality of the island which nice as well and for
pudding I had a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream with toffee syrup on top
that was awesome. After that we went to a picturesque village where there was a
big dragon tree which looks very strange but beautiful. It was the oldest dragon tree in Europe. On the way back we passed a small village
very high on the mountain. The road was
very narrow and steep. Then we made our
way to the hotel.
Then on Wednesday I went back home to the UK.
