SETTING MYSELF SOME SUMMER GOALS.

SETTING MYSELF SOME SUMMER GOALS.

Feeling motivated…

Remember when school would break for the summer holidays and you would feel so inspired to have your best summer, with an entire six weeks laid out ahead of you? I’ve been feeling a bit like that recently, I think because I have a lot on and we’ve had good weather, so it’s actually felt like quite a promising few months! Except I most definitely do not have six weeks off, but we’ll ignore that minor detail for now.
I’ve been setting myself little goals here and there, nothing totally major but you guys know I love a few goals to jot down and absent-mindedly head towards.
01. At the top of my list is to find more of a posting routine, I feel like I’ve been so busy lately that it’s really only Instagram that I’m posting on – bar the odd post on here. I used to blog a few times a week, but I got out of the habit of it and now I’m not sure how to get back in to the swing of things!
I said recently that I had posts lined up, but I haven’t had a proper minute to sit down and write them up – and if I have, I haven’t quite been able to find the words. I’m making it my number one priority to get back in to posting on the reg, I know I’ll love it once I’m back in to a routine, it’s just getting there that’s the problem!
02. Be better to my hair! I’ve always been a bit slap-dash with my hair, I wash it most days (the thought of not washing my hair every day in summer really does make me feel quite ill) and I noticed it’s been breaking off around my face, so I know something has to be done.
I’m trying to use less heat, which is impossible – my hair naturally is SO straight and a bit frizzy, and I need to curl it for me to look like a functioning human being, and that means using my hairdryer and curlers every single day. I keep telling myself I need to be better at looking after it, but it’s so hard when I don’t feel like myself unless my hair is done. Any advice for me?
I have at least stopped brushing it like a madman and towel-drying it so roughly after a shower!

03. Recently I’ve been thinking about looking out for a fixer-upper flat to do up and sell, it seems like a nice ‘next step’ since we don’t want to move out of this place yet, but I’m ready for another project to work on!
The only struggle I’m having with this is that the properties I find are either way too run down for me to even know where to start with them, or they’re a bit too done up; someone has already put a kitchen in, but it’s nothing like I would want. I guess something will come along eventually! In the meantime, it’s back to my favourite hobby… browsing Rightmove daily.
04. Continue working on my photo albums. At the end of last year, I went crazy printing off all my photos from the year with the intention of putting them all in to albums. Then I couldn’t find any photo albums that would hold them all, every album I found would only take two photos to a page and hold about 60 photos in total… and I have hundreds.
I don’t want to give up on this though, I just need to find something that works for me! Any suggestions? I really would love to have all my memories organised!
I’m sure I can manage to sort of work towards these, I’m feeling quite motivated to get a move on with them all. Do you set yourself summer goals? What’s on your list?
