COOKIE BUTTER BARS
YOU HEARD ME.
COOKIE. BUTTER. COOKIE BARS.
THE GREATEST DESSERT INCEPTION SINCE CHEESECAKE CAKES.
Now cookie bars, or “blondies” have to be the EASIEST dessert of all time. Baking inept? You can make these. I swear.
9 INGREDIENTS, 2 BOWLS, 40 MINUTES
They’re perfect for an instant cookie craving because they don’t have to rest for 24-36 hours like my other cookie recipes.
And the cookie butter (or Biscoff / Speculoos) flavor makes them *not literally* SCREAM fall.
If you haven’t yet had cookie butter, it’s basically a peanut butter consistency, but instead of being nut based
…IT’S COOKIE BASED.
Now what kind of cookie you may ask?
it’s like if a graham cracker & a gingerbread cookie got it on and it got real sticky. Too far? My b.
I N G R E D I E N T S
10 tablespoons (1 & 1/4 sticks) butter
1 & 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
2 eggs, plus 1 egg yolk
1/2 cup cookie butter
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 & 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chocolate chunks
the great thing about this recipe (and blondie’s in general) is that they’re SUPER adaptable.
Add nuts, dried fruit, pretzels, white chocolate, peanut butter, chopped candy, whatever you’re craving.
Let me know if you guys would like more blondie recipes
I’ve got a funfetti cake batter one that’s *HIGHLY* requested by Mats’ friends for Sunday football.
