THREE SKINCARE STAPLES

THREE SKINCARE STAPLES

New Favourites

It’s been a little while since I shared any updates to my beauty routine, and after having nearly used up some of the items I’m about to show you, I thought it was probably time!
I’ve tried not to keep switching around my skincare and adding extra and unnecessary (for me) steps, as I’d rather stick to something that my skin agrees with. That being said, I do introduce new bits from time to time, with ingredients that I know will work for me. I wanted to share some of those bits that have been introduced and stood the test of time.
A reminder- I have typically quite dry/dehydrated skin that can feel tight and even get a little flaky if it’s not looked after properly, so most products I use are to try and keep it plump and supple. No flakes for me, thank you very much.

Elizabeth Arden
Okay, I know I said three products, but I’m just going to lump these two together because they came into my life at the same time and I’ve been using them ever since.
I was away with Ree and we got talking cleansers- she recommended that I try Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Oil Cleanser when I mentioned how much I enjoy using oil cleansers. I owe her because she was totally right about this one. It’s a luxurious-feeling oil that cleanses and leaves your skin clean, soft and comfortable without feeling at all stripped or greasy. I’ll be purchasing it again with this bottle runs out, but it’s lasted me really well.
And then there are those little capsules that I’m sure you’ve seen before if you haven’t already used them. I’ve been using the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules for a few months now, one per evening before bed. I use them after cleansing, dropping the oil onto my hands and massaging into my face and neck.
So, what do they do and have they been working? Vitamin C is used for it’s brightening powers, and Ceramides for preventing moisture loss- both things that are big concerns for me. I’m not going to make any bold claims as I don’t believe any products really work miracles, but since using them I think I’ve noticed a difference in my complexion, and want to continue using them in my nighttime routine.
Superfood Cica Calm
Hydration Juice
This one is newer to me, but I’ve used it daily since it was kindly sent to me by Elemis. I was obsessed after trying it just once.
The new Superfood Cica Calm Hydration Juice is a gel-formula moisturiser, packed with superfoods and organic aloe. At first glance you might imagine it to be sticky on the skin, but it’s not- it’s lightweight and absorbs, leaving your skin feeling supple and quenched. It’s the kind of product I use and then can’t help but touch my face after. I use it every morning before putting on make-up, and it’s helping (along with my other favourites) to keep any dryness at bay.
C-Tango Multivitamin
Eye Cream
After beginning to spot lines in photographs I’m now making a concentrated effort to put on eye cream every day! And the one I’ve chosen comes in the shape of Drunk Elephant’s C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream. Again, no bold claims from me but I feel as though it’s helped to brighten and hydrate my undereye area, and has also lasted me well, too.
This is another vitamin-rich product that looks to repair any damage and brighten skin. A little goes a long way, and I use it morning and night. I’ll be repurchasing when I finally run out!
