4 Things You Should Do In The Morning For A Super Productive Day

n my opinion, how you start your day is a huge factor in how productive the next 24 hours will be. During the work week (and some Saturdays), I try my best to come out of the gate ready to go, so I’m able to have a super productive day and get as much done as possible. To amplify your productivity for the day, there are 4 things I highly suggest doing in the morning to set yourself up for success.

4 Things You Should Do In The Morning For A Super Productive Day

Write Up A To-Do List | One thing I always make sure to do at the start of my day is to write up a to-do list. My brain is constantly going a million miles a minute and it’s very easy for me to forget things, so jotting down what needs to get done each day helps me stay productive as well as organized. You can do this the old fashioned way on paper or by keeping a little checklist on your phone. Either way, get into the habit of writing up a list of to-do’s each morning and I promise you’ll notice a vast improvement in your daily productivity.
Dress To Impress | Whether you work from home or out in public, I think it’s important to dress your best each day. I know this can mean different things depending on if your workplace has a dress code, but whether is does or does not make sure that you feel good in what you’re wearing. I always find that I’m able to work better when what I’m wearing is comfortable and makes me feel confident. Staying in pajamas all day may sound super enticing since I work from home, but whenever I do I end up not wanting to work as hard or get as much done as I should. Whatever you have on your to-do list for the day, just make sure you get up, get dressed in something that makes you feel awesome, and get to work.
Tackle What You Hate | No, this is not advice for how to handle the haters. ðŸ˜‰ Instead, my advice here is to tackle the tasks that you hate doing first. For me, it’s my inbox. I’m so bad at staying caught up with emails, and because of that my inbox can sometimes be an absolute disaster. What I like to do is tackle my inbox first thing instead of pushing it off throughout the day. This way, I’m able to get it checked off my list right away and will feel more productive right off that bat, which always encourages me to get even more work done for the day (especially when everything else on my list is fun and there’s no overflowing inbox looming in the back of my mind).
Don’t Skip The Small Things | It can be easy to get caught up in the rush of early mornings, but you definitely don’t want to skip out on the small stuff. Things like washing your face, eating a good breakfast, and preparing for the day may not sound like essentials, but taking the time to do them every morning really does help make the day more productive. When you take the time to slowly start your day, you’re able to focus on what needs to get done instead of just rushing into your workload without first thinking it through. Also, things like having a balanced breakfast (that isn’t scarfed down while riding the bus) and practicing a daily skincare routine help your body get ready to take on the day.
What are some things you do in the morning to ensure you have a productive day?
